The quest for Castle Eldritch is an excellent, fully graphic war game, which is set in Mediaeval times. The program is loosely based on Dungeons and Dragons type games. The aim of the game is to beat the Lord of castle Eldritch at battle. You are a warrior who was given a large sum of money for your services to the King of Enkar and you have decided to use this to build up an army to take over castle Eldritch, ruled by Lord Darquen. During play, you must locate towns and cities, use your money to recruit soldiers, equip them for battle, and then fight other armies to gain more treasure, until at last you have an army large enough to lay siege to the castle. Your success in battles will depend on the way you equip, feed and rest your army.
