The game DEATH ROAD is a circuit car racing among cars specially equipped with different kinds of arming, rams and armor.

The player drives the car with the steering wheel with feedback. At the same time the wheel undergoes all the damage, which car is exposed to, starting from tearing-out of the wheel as a result of centrifugal acceleration and ending with bumps, caused by hits of hostile ammunition.

The task of the player is to get as many points as possible, which play a role of currency in the game. The player can use these points to buy different upgrades of five categories and pay for participation in races on seven routes, different in price and complexity. The points are charged to the player after each race on the particular route.

Prize positions in every race and on each route are the first and the second ones at the finish. The magnitude of the prize (points) depends on the particular route and the price for it. Moreover, the points are granted for damaging rival cars. If a rival car is destroyed completely, an additional prize is given.

The player is to compete computer-controlled rivals taking part in the races in the cars similar to the player’s one, but different in upgrades and arming installed. Only eight cars at most, including the player’s car, can participate in race.

All cars, taking part in race always show the information about player’s name, current position in the lap and a number of health points. Besides, the player can get information on quantity of ammunition, cylinders with special gas for short acceleration (Nitro), time till the end of the race and a number of the current lap.

In addition, the player can watch the position of his car and his rival’s cars on the special radar.

To damage hostile cars the player can use contact weapons – rams (only five types, different in the level of caused damage), and distant weapons – antitank rifle, sextuple machine-gun, cannon, double-barrel gun, and finally rocket launcher with missiles equipped with auto-capturing and aiming systems.

On the route the player can collect three kinds of bonuses – ammunition, first aid kits and Nitro cylinders. Bonuses have forms of boxes with indication of a bonus inside. To pick up a bonus one should run over it. The player is provided with additional information on whereabouts of bonuses by bonus marks.

The most successful players get their names in the table of records, where besides the name of the player and his score additional information on record time on the particular routes is shown in form of bronze, silver and gold stars.

The race ends after the player’s car reaches the finish line or if the race time is over, or if the player’s car is totally destroyed.
