Governments have always collected information, but the amount of information has grown so much that computers are now required to handle it all. This package introduces students to the ways in which data is collected, stored, and used by the U.S. government. A special program permits students to examine and manipulate population figures as they consider how governmental decisions are influenced by demographic data.
