At the title screen intro animation before the PUSH START BUTTON message appears, press Right, A, Down, B, A, B, Down, A. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Now, during the game press Select to power up to the next weapon instantly, or on pause press A or B to select any stages, including the boss rooms.
