The IBM 5110 Computing System is an evolution of the IBM 5100, released in 1978 by IBM.

It retains the portable all-in-one design with integrated CRT display, keyboard, and tape storage, but introduces improved performance, expanded memory options, and better reliability. The system continues to support APL and BASIC through firmware-based emulation.

The 5110 was widely used in scientific, engineering, and business environments where portable computing power was required outside traditional mainframe facilities.

It refines the concept introduced by the 5100, offering improved usability and broader adoption in professional environments.
