A checkers program developed at Duke University in North Carolina. It is the first checkers program that managed to defeat a Grandmaster checker player. The game implements the typical rules where players take turn moving their pieces which can only move diagonally or jump diagonally over opposing pieces. Pieces that reach the other side of the board are kinged and can move backwards and move any amount of units in a move.
