Flash Baseball © 1972 Midway Mfg. Co.
An electro-mechanical pitch & bat machine that uses miniature pinballs.
Most machines would carry an 8-track player hooked up to a switchable sound system with a basic oscillator generator. The background sound is continuously played in the game while the speech track is activated on any target hit. The PING sounds off whenever the ball flies over the MAGIC circle to award 20 hits.
Flash Baseball was released in April 1972.
This machine uses a dual-motor scoring system with a reverse-reset design. Instead the digits jump, they turn. Commonly used in Midway's wall games in the 1970s.
