In 1979, the Wheel 'em in was already in use in many arcades up and down the England and was still in production at this time. In 1981 orders for these large arcade slot machines had fallen dramatically due to the appearance of video games, particularly "Space Invaders
". Streets Automatic Machine switched production from their traditional slot machines to manufacturing, under licence from Williams, the 'Defender' video game. The company ceased trading around '83 or '84.
