Battle in 1v1 combat as versions of fighters who have appeared in a variety of kung fu/karate/martial arts films of the past. These are not licensed characters but are likenesses of the characters that appeared in a wide variety of films.

Selectable characters include the likes of:

Bruce Lee (Jeet Kun Do)
Chuck Norris (Tang Soo Do)
Jackie Chan (Drunken Fist)
Jean Claude Van Damme (Kickboxing)
Daniel Larusso (Best Karate)
Gordon Liu from Kill Bill (White Brow)
Michelle Yeoh from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (Lotus Palm)

The music in this game sounds like it came straight out of several 1970s kung fu flicks.

The fighting style of this game is closer to something like Virtua Fighter than Street Fighter or Tekken. There is a Super meter, combo breaks, throws, and a weapon, but players are best served by technique and strategy if they want to get very far in a single player game.

TECHNICAL

TRIVIA

Released in January 2020 for around $1500USD as a kit on the exA-Arcadia. This kit came with an A1 poster and player moveset strips.

The game is a port of Shaolin Vs. Wutang that was previously released on the PC. The principle difference is in the faster response time, improved graphics, and the addition of Daniel Larusso as the Best Karate character.
