Attack © 1976 Taito.
A military shooter where players shoot on-screen enemy vehicles including tanks, jeeps and trucks. The graphics were slightly similar to Taito's Western Gun.
There are a pair of mounted guns on the cabinet with nicely designed shells.
Released in September 1976.
This is possibly the very first video game to employ parallax scrolling, where layers of the playfield scroll by at different distances and speeds.
The guns were nicely detailed and were a precursor to the types of games that are seen in modern arcade games.
This was also the first instance where Taito placed the monitor in the bottom of the cabinet and by using an angled mirror, created an illusion of depth.
