DisChord
It is indeed a piteous plight, that of the novice musician, struggling slowly but determinedly through the tune written on the faded paper before his clouding eyes, only to stumble across a weird chord. It rends ones heart to see his poor form huddled over the piano, mumbling strange, confused thoughts such as, “E-flat major ninth... now that’s, um, D and G-flat, or is it D-flat and G-flat, or is F the ninth, or...” He turns to his Apple IIgs, the machine he had forever been able to trust and depend on, and asks it The Question: “How do you play an E-flat major ninth??”

Periodic Table NDA
It’s a Periodic Table of the Elements. It’s an NDA. Click on an element, and see its full name and atomic weight. Elementary, my dear chem student. Atomic weights are given in grams per mole, and weights in parentheses are those of the most stable isotope.

AppleWorks GS
Home Budget: It’s a home budget spreadsheet – so easy you won’t need documentation! Fill in the blanks and receive the answers from this handy AppleWorks GS template.

Font
Ticonderoga: A fanciful, correspondence font for your TrueType™ & bitmap collection. Ticonderoga’s style is quite heavy and thick. You’ll think bold yet graceful when you think of this one. Ticonderoga is brought to you in TrueType and Bitmap format. We’ve provided a couple of bitmap sizes for those of you who don’t have Pointless.

Font
Ergime: Last month we ran out of room for the Ergime TrueType™ font. This month we managed to fit it on the disk for you Pointless™ lovers! Use the Apple installer to copy it anywhere you want it.

Clip Art
Olympics: Some awesome seasonal clip art from our great friend Doris! The Olympics are on everyone’s minds now so she is helping us celebrate on our GS with some beautiful art. Try it out on your friends, family, or students. Very patriotic.

Spencer’s Corner
Showtime: You should be able to find some imaginative uses for this month’s “Showtime” graphic. It will make a good announcement for an evening of games with friends. Or you can use it as a poster/flyer to announce a trip to a Broadway play. I employed it once to announce a congregational meeting at our church where a volatile issue was to be debated and resolved.

IIGS’s on the World Wide Web
This month a special feature article from Dan Tobias. Get on the web when dining out at a hip-hoppin' web surfin' cafe!
