Western Vistas
Welcome to Western Vistas, our picture slideshow program for your GS. This month, just in time for the wintery season, we bring you some of Weiler’s famous (or is it infamous?) photographs from one of his many trips to the Western States. Enjoy impressing your friends with the slide show options of the program as well as the artistic acumen of our very own Jim Weiler.

GS BookLET
This page-layout template provides a simple way to produce booklets (8.5-inch by 11-inch paper printed in landscape and folded in half) in AppleWorks GS. I would suggest that you first compose your text in a word processor and take advantage of its spell checking capabilities. Then, import the text and any graphics into the tempate and voila! GS BookLET!!

Font
Scenic View: Another font by Eugen, Scenic View is perhaps one of the most unique fonts we have ever published. Instead of alphabet characters, you get houses and trees and scenic stuff when you choose this font. I’ve really enjoyed playing around with it. Use it as an enhancement to nearly any document you write. See for yourself!!

Spencer’s Corner
Magic: Maybe you don’t have an upcoming magic show to introduce with this flyer or poster. But many events can be “magic” in a more generic sense. I’m sure you can think of some (I’m going to use the graphic to announce our Senior Citizens’ Roller Skating Party next week——which had better be magic or they’ll all likely be hospitalized, the crazies).

Clip Art
Mythological images are presented this month in the clip art section of Softdisk G-S. The sample shows the Sphinx, but we’ve also provided a griffin, a harpy, a hippocampus, Isis, Poseidon, and Zeus. If “the gods” have been angry with you lately, these ought to help.

IIGS’s on the World Wide Web
This column will be a new addition to the regular SDGS article line-up. I use AOL and eWorld to search all over the Web for interesting SDGS information. Most of the fruits of my search will be found here. Sequential System’s Home Page caught my eye this month.
