Fighting Run is an unusual mix of fighting and racing game by Nihon Bussan. The player takes control of a biped-robot engaged in a deadly race against another opponent. In single player mode, the player needs first to pick a stage and an opponent. Then points need to be allocated to one of the robot's attributes : Speed, Power and Armor. Then the race is go! Both racers can move around the track, hit each other or use special attacks (lightenings, grenade etc...) collected along the way. Each robot also has a life bar and the race is over as soon as the precious energy gauge gets to zero. Fighting Run also offers a versus mode where two players (or even two AI controlled opponents) can race against each other, and a tournament mode where eight robots and their pilots race, two at the time, for a golden trophy.
