Actual Entry (non editable)
Star Ocean - The Second Story (c) 1998 Enix, Ltd. [Japan] tri-Ace has produced another installment of Star Ocean. This installment includes a new user interface, and every system used in the previous version of Star Ocean has been improved. This isn't the typical Play Station role-playing game ? it will break the stereotype users have associated with role-playing games in the past. It has been released by ENIX. STAR OCEAN: THE SECOND STORY adopts a Double Hero System, which allows players to select a main character from both male and female loads. With this system, you can see the same event from two different points of view. The Private Action system, which earned a good reputation in the previous version of Star Ocean has been improved, and it has been combined transparently with the new Double Hero System. With this combined system, you can enjoy more events with the members of your party than in the previous series. You can still complete the game without using "Private Action" system, but you'll miss out on some of the attractive features offered by Star Ocean : The Second Story. The characters of the Star Ocean : The Second Story will be introduced on the following page. Star Ocean: The Second Story is an adventure in which a player walks on the beautiful map created by pre-rendering, 2-D and real-time 3-D technique. From the following page, you will enjoy beautiful images of the map. Star Ocean: The Second Story has a much better battle system than the one in the previous Star Ocean series. The characters are drawn in 2-D, but fight battles in real-time on a 3D battle field. Basically, a player controls the selected character while the other characters are controlled by AI. - TECHNICAL - CD1 ID: SLPM-86105 CD2 ID: SLPM-86106 CD3 ID: SLPM-86107 - TRIVIA - Released on July 30, 1998 in Japan.
