Actual Entry (non editable)
Pac-Man (c) 1984 Astrocade, Inc. - TRIVIA - Astrocade was forbidden to release this game by a court order. The prototype, actually titled "Pac Man," turned up with Clyde Perkins and Phillip Harris in 1983. Phillip changed the title to Muncher, and sold two batch runs with a white label that reads, TEST PROGRAMME. Then another unknown source sold more Muncher cartridges with a red label that says DEMO. Esoterica did release an unknown quantity under the red MUNCHER label. Only Mike White sold any (very few) after 1984 as Pacman (the original Clyde Perkins/prototype version). - SOURCES - ROM dump (MAME).
