TRIVIA

Hong Kong '97 was developed and released by HappySoft L.T.D. in 1995, or at least copyrighted on that year. The game is so rare, it is impossible to find out how many units the game sold. It was to the point that there is a message asking the player to make their game purchasable in their shops.

The game's constantly looping music is known as "I love Beijing Tiananmen", a Chinese Patriotic song.

The game over screen depicts a dead body being filmed on June 8th 1992. The image is also used for every time an enemy is killed, just scaled down. The body was most likely filmed in Japan as a shock video, but information about the image is unclear.

SCORING
The game updates the score each time an enemy is defeated.
TIPS AND TRICKS
If you survive for 5 minutes, you face the final boss, "Tong Shau Ping".

If score values are edited to reach 1,200,000,000 points, the music will stop.
