Prince of Persia is the landmark cinematic platformer originally created by Jordan Mechner and ported to 16-bit consoles under Konami's premier publishing banner. Widely celebrated as a masterpiece of game design and atmosphere, the game casts players as an unnamed hero who must navigate the treacherous, trap-filled dungeons of a Persian sultanate within a strict sixty-minute time limit to rescue a captive princess from the tyrannical Grand Vizier Jaffar.
