Actual Entry (non editable)
King Arthur & The Knights of Justice (c) 1995 Enix of America. King Arthur & The Knights of Justice is an action-adventure role-playing game developed by Silicon Knights. Based on the animated television series of the same name, the game transports an American football player named Arthur King back in time to Camelot. He is tasked with freeing King Arthur and his original knights from an enchanted cave and assembling a new team of champions to defeat the evil sorceress Morgana - TECHNICAL - GAME ID: SNS-AAKE-USA - TRIVIA - Released in July 1995 in North America. Silicon Knights' Pedigree: Before becoming known for cinematic blockbusters like Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Eternal Darkness, Canadian developer Silicon Knights created this title. It was their second game and showcased an early attempt to bring isometric, action-RPG mechanics (similar to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past or Landstalker) to a licensed cartoon property. Unique Party Mechanics: Rather than controlling a single hero throughout the entire journey, players must rescue individual knights scattered across different kingdoms. Each knight possesses unique combat abilities and attributes, allowing players to switch party members to solve environmental puzzles and conquer specific bosses. Football Influence: Nodding to Arthur's modern-day origins as a quarterback, the game incorporates gridiron-inspired motifs into its design, such as the strategic formation of your team and armored athletic aesthetics. - SOURCES - ROM dump (MAME).
