Super F1 Circus Limited is an enhanced, updated revision of the original Super F1 Circus released just three months prior. While the core engine remains identical to its predecessor, this "Limited" edition was developed specifically to incorporate official FOCA (Formula One Constructors' Association) licensing. This allowed Nichibutsu to include accurate team names, driver rosters, and liveries reflecting the 1992 Formula One season, which were absent from the initial July 1992 release.

TRIVIA

Released on on October 23, 1992 in Japan. This game was the second title made by Nichibutsu on the Super Famicom.

The "Limited" Concept: The term Limited in this context refers to the updated data set. Because the original game launched with generic or placeholder data, Nichibutsu rushed this revision to market to capitalize on the 1992 season's popularity. For serious racing fans of the era, this effectively rendered the original release obsolete.

Rapid Iteration: The three-month gap between the original Super F1 Circus (July 1992) and Super F1 Circus Limited (October 1992) is a prime example of the fast-paced, iterative sports-gaming culture in early 90s Japan, where publishers would often issue 'update' cartridges to maintain seasonal relevance.

Collector Significance: Because it was released shortly after the first game, Limited is often the preferred choice for collectors and historians seeking the 'definitive' version of the 1992 F1 Circus experience on the Super Famicom.
