Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 is the final game in the series released for the platform. It serves as a mid-quel to Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, focusing on the perspective of Prince Leif as he leads an underdog rebellion in the Thracian Peninsula. It is widely regarded as one of the most mechanically complex and challenging entries in the entire Fire Emblem franchise.

TRIVIA

Released on January 21, 2000 in Japan.

Complexity & Depth: Thracia 776 introduced several sophisticated mechanics that defined the series for years, including the Capture command (allowing players to seize enemy equipment), "Fatigue" (forcing players to rotate their roster as characters become tired), and complex rescue/dismount systems that force players to adapt their strategy constantly.

The Final 16-Bit Masterpiece: Being released at the end of the Super Famicom's life cycle, the game pushed the console’s hardware capabilities to their limits. It features an incredibly dense UI, intricate map designs, and some of the most challenging objective-based scenarios in the series.

Limited Distribution: The game's release history is unique, starting as a "Nintendo Power" flash cart exclusive before receiving a physical retail version. This makes it one of the most coveted titles for collectors due to its status as a "final swan song" for Nintendo on the Super Famicom.
