Actual Entry (non editable)
Cyber Knight (c) 1990 Tonkin House Cyber Knight is a futuristic role playing game. The story takes place in 2352, as the S.S. Swordfish space ship miraculously escapes a vicious attack by space pirates. The ship sustains enormous damage and is on the blink of destruction. The crew has no choice but to do a panic jump in hyper-space, and this is where the game starts. The ship is lost somewhere in space, most of the crew has perished (including the captain) and most of the equipment on board is destroyed. The goal of the game is to control the surviving crew and to return to Earth, and their first task is to find a replacement for the hyper-space drive. The crew certainly reminds of the one seen in the popular TV series featuring the beloved Captain and his fellow Vulcan friend, but it also comes with a commander, a doctor, a mechanic and several soldiers. Additionally, powerful mechas are available and play an important part in the game, especially during fights and outdoor exploration. The game gets our heroes to visit many alien worlds and to also resolve many sub-quests. Another important component of the game is Mica, the Swordfish's main computer, and it often gives the player helpful (or sometimes useless) information about planets or enemies. The game is vast with numerous systems and planets to explore, but a heavy knowledge of Japanese is needed to enjoy Cyber Knight in full. - TECHNICAL - GAME ID: TON90003 BARCODE: 4961355678022 - TRIVIA - Released on October 12, 1990 (Friday) in Japan for 6800 Yen. - PORTS - * CONSOLES: [JP] Super Famicom (1992) "Cyber Knight [Model SHVC-CX]" - SOURCES - ROM dump (MAME).
