Actual Entry (non editable)
スターパロジャー (c) 1992 Hudson Soft. (Star Parodia) In Star Parodia, you'll be tasked with saving the planet Paroson from the Mother Brain's army in this cute vertical shoot'em up from Hudson Soft. As the name suggests, the game pays homage to memorable and iconic games from the Japanese company, such as Star Soldier, Bomberman, and the PC-Engine system. Choose from three different fighters - Paro-Caesar, a robotic and flying Bomberman, or a white ship in the shape of the original PC Engine system - each equipped with their own unique weapons and abilities. Collect power-ups to switch between three main weapon systems and increase their strength and range, and pick up secondary weapons such as multiples, shields, and missiles. With eight long and humorous stages, midpoint mini-bosses, and two score-attack modes, there's plenty of action to keep you entertained in Star Parodia. - TECHNICAL - GAME ID: HCD2024 BARCODE: 4 988607 250256 - TRIVIA - Released on April 24, 1992 (Friday) in Japan at a retail price of 6,800 JPY. Unfortunately, Star Parodia never made it to the North American market as planned, with the release being canceled under the name Fantasy Star Soldier. However, a working prototype of the game was eventually discovered and made available to the public through leaks.
