Actual Entry (non editable)
Alpha Moon Shot (c) 1980 Texas Instruments. Alpha Moon Shot is a lunar landing game. The player must successfully land the craft on the surface of the moon, without crashing into it. The twist in this variant is that the altimeter is broken so the player doesn't have precise information on their position above the surface. They do have sensors that go off at 500, 250, and 100 meters. At those times the player can ignite retro rockets which significantly reduce the velocity of the craft. The player decides how much fuel to bring, but fuel has weight so also has an impact on the efficiency of the engines. - TRIVIA - Released on June 13, 1980 (Friday). - STAFF - By: Ed Heierman
