Prophet 5 [Model 1000] (c) 1980 Sequential Circuits The Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 was a landmark analog polyphonic synthesizer and one of the first fully programmable synthesizers with patch memory. Internally associated with the Model 1000 designation in early Sequential documentation and service references, it introduced true stored presets in a polyphonic analog instrument. It used five independent voices, each with dual oscillators, a resonant low-pass filter, and envelope control, allowing complex programmable sounds that could be instantly recalled. - TRIVIA - The Prophet-5 is widely recognized as the first commercially successful fully programmable polyphonic synthesizer with patch memory.
