World Heroes 2 (c) 1994 Saurus. World Heroes 2 expands on the time-traveling tournament premise of its predecessor. The game features 14 playable characters—bringing back the original cast and introducing six new challengers—and adds advanced tactical mechanics such as "Counter Throws" and projectile "Repelling." The title is notable for its highly customizable gameplay options, allowing players to adjust speed, UI elements, and even specific life gauge behavior to suit their preferred playstyle. - TECHNICAL - GAME ID: SHVC-JI - TRIVIA - World Heroes 2 for Super Famicom was released on July 1, 1994 in Japan. It arrived one year after the original game, significantly refining the mechanics and roster size. This version of the game is pretty customizable. You can play it so that all four face buttons can be used, Y and B are for weak punches and kicks, X and A are for strong punches and kicks, and LR used for taunting and throwing. Players can also play the game with the arcade life gauges, which change between Normal and the Death Match, Normal for basic life gauge on either Normal or Death Match, or Seesaw for one fall matches on any stage. Players can even hide the life gauge damage through the "Mask" option. Gameplay Pacing: The game offers three distinct speed settings (1: Slow, 2: Normal, 3: Fast), allowing players to tailor the match intensity to their preference. Each of the heroes have a total of six costume colors in this game, selected with one of the six buttons. The L and R buttons are for evil hero colors, and the computer uses them when the code (seen below) is used. Boss Accessibility: The final two bosses, Neo Geegus and Dio, are fully playable. While they are selectable by default in VS mode, they can also be unlocked for the single-player campaign using specific cheat codes. - TIPS AND TRICKS - When the title screen appears, spell the word "SAURUS" by entering the following: Select, A, Up, R, Up, Select You will hear a ring bell.
