San Francisco Rush 2049 Special Edition (c) 2003 Betson. An upgrade of the previous versions. There are 2 new tracks, 10 new cars and new shortcuts. - TECHNICAL - Runs on the Atari "Denver" hardware. Players : 4 Control : paddle Buttons : 3 - TRIVIA - San Francisco Rush 2049 Special Edition was released in March 2003. When Midway closed its arcade division, the anticipated update to Rush 2049 was cancelled with only a beta that had a bunch of bugfixes and two extra tracks in the form of Rush 2049 Tournament Edition. A U.S. arcade game supplier by the name of Betson took interest in Rush 2049 Tournament Edition to make various edits (such as unlocking tracks 6 and 7 and disabling all MTN features) to release this to the public as Rush 2049 Special Edition. - SERIES - 1.
