Hisshou 777 Fighter 2: Pachi-Slot Hi Jouhou is the direct sequel to the Ryuuguu Densetsu simulation. While the first title utilized a fantasy theme, this follow-up pivoted toward a more "insider information" (Hi Jouhou) marketing angle, positioning itself as a tactical database for players looking to master the technical quirks and payout hidden variables of updated Pachislot hardware.

TRIVIA

Hisshou 777 Fighter 2 was released on August 19, 1994 in Japan.

The "Hi Jouhou" Concept: The subtitle translates to "Secret/Hidden Information." VAP leaned into the common player superstition that specific machines contained hidden payout patterns. By branding the game this way, they promised the player a more analytical and "privileged" experience compared to casual simulations.

Sequel Iteration: Being released on the exact same date as its predecessor, this sequel was clearly aimed at players who wanted a fresh set of machines to master. It refined the reel-stop timing engine, making it slightly more responsive to mimic the newer, higher-speed machines being deployed in Japanese parlors at the time.

VAP’s Strategy: Releasing two variations of the same simulation engine in one day was a savvy, if niche, strategy for VAP, effectively segmenting their audience between those who preferred the theme-heavy Ryuuguu Densetsu and those who prioritized the "data-driven" approach of Hi Jouhou.
