VIP Lunar Lander (c) 1978 RCA Corp. A lunar landing game. The player must successfully land a lunar landing module in a 250-foot crater on the moon. The spacecraft is displayed on the left side of the screen and the crater walls which have rocky outcrops which must be avoided. Once within 32 feet of the floor the view switches to a view of the crater floor. The player must land on a flat area with a slow speed or be destroyed. The right side of the screen shows the remaining fuel and the fall rate of the module. There are 16 different crater layouts which are selected randomly. The player is rated at the end of play. - TECHNICAL - It requires the CHIP-8 interpreter. - TRIVIA - Published in December 1978 as a type-in program in RCA COSMAC VIP Game Manual.
