Actual Entry (non editable)
STTR - Space War Simulation (c) 1977 Byte Publications, Inc. A Star Trek variant. The player is in control of the Enterprise and is tasked to destroy all the Klingon battle cruisers roaming around the 8 by 8 quadrants of the galaxy. The player can move around and receive short range scans which will notify the player of nearby stars, starbases and Klingon. The player can also use long range scanners to check more distant quadrants. The player has various weapons to fight the Klingons with. Phasers deal damage to their shields (more damage the closer the player is). Photon Torpedoes have a longer travel time and their trajectory can be calculated by the ship's computer. In defence the player can raise and lower shields which negate incoming damage but will give out eventually. - TRIVIA - Published in March 1977 as a type-in program in BYTE magazine. - STAFF - Program by: David Price UNIVACed by: Mike McAmis
