Distributed in very limited quantities to test market interest and ensure the stability of the improved graphical assets and menu systems, this version provides a truncated experience of the narrative, highlighting the visual refinements made since the release of the first volume.

Specifications: This trial build is housed on a custom PCB, similar to the full retail version of Vol. 2. It lacks the Nintendo CIC lockout chip, confirming that by 1994, Seibu Kikaku had successfully standardized their production process for creating unlicensed, playable cartridges that could bypass the standard security checks of the Super Famicom.

Marketing the Underground: Unlike the 'Test Version' of the first game, which was a purely internal debugging tool, this Vol. 2 Trial Version was clearly intended for external distribution. It represents a more mature phase of the "gray market" lifecycle, where the developers were confident enough in their custom hardware to actively solicit interest through preview builds.
