Victory Home TV Programmer MPT-02 (c) 1978 Soundic. Hong Kongese clone of the RCA Studio II featuring detachable controllers. This console is part of the RCA Studio III licensed consoles from the Conic Group. The console came with 4 built-in games: Doodle Patterns Bowling Black Jack 1 & 2 For more info on RCA Studio III consoles see the Conic "M-1200" entry For the released games see the Hanimex "Jeu TV Programmable MPT-02" entry. - TECHNICAL - CPU: RCA 1802 SPEED: 1.78 MHz CO-PROCESSOR: CDP1861 video display chipset RAM: 512 bytes (normally 256 bytes display RAM, 256 bytes program RAM) ROM: 2 KB GRAPHIC MODES: 64 x 32 (theoretical maximum of 64 x 128 is possible) COLORS: yes (at least 4) SOUND: Single channel buzzer - TRIVIA - After the acquisition of the RCA Studio III Intellectual properties by the Conic Group, Conic reached out to various subsidiaries and other affiliates to distribute their newest console in various countries. Soundic, one of Conic subsidiary specialized in video games released two versions of the system. The first, Jeu TV Programmable MPT-02 by Hanimex, was distributed by Soundic in France under the Hanimex Brand. A second version of the console named the Victory Home TV Programmer was distributed directly by Soundic, but it is unclear in which specific region. Both this console and the Jeu TV Programmable MPT-02 by Hanimex, used the same mold. Both consoles are the only RCA Studio III systems with detachable controllers that could be replaced by proper joysticks (sold separately). The main difference between this console and the Victory Home TV Programmer (MPT-02), is the Hanimex console didn’t include any built-in games, instead these games were bundled on a pack-in cartridge (MG 200 Grand Pack). For an unknown reason, Soundic didn’t use the same strategy with the Victory Home TV Programmer. - SOURCES - Machine's bios.
