TRIVIA

Super Castlevania IV for SNES was released in December 1991 in North America.

While the gameplay remains largely consistent, the North American release featured minor aesthetic changes, such as the recoloring of certain sprites to be less overtly violent (removing blood splatters) to comply with the stricter Nintendo of America content guidelines of the early 90s.
