TRIVIA

Released on November 21, 1990 (Wednesday) in Japan.

Setting the Benchmark for 16-Bit Platforming:
Long before Sonic the Hedgehog arrived, Castle of Illusion proved that the Mega Drive could deliver fluid, character-driven platforming with lush, colorful visuals, inventive level design, and a magical atmosphere reminiscent of classic Disney animation.

The Signature Bounce Attack:
Eschewing traditional weapon mechanics, Mickey utilized a bouncy hip-drop/butt-bounce technique to defeat enemies, interact with environment props, and leap across treacherous platforming hazards.
