The Psion Series 7 is a larger, tablet-style PDA released in 2000, representing a major departure from previous Psion designs.

It features a clamshell convertible design with a large 640×480 color touchscreen, full keyboard, and ARM925T processor running the EPOC32 operating system. It is one of the first Psion devices to introduce a near-laptop experience in PDA form.

The Series 7 includes enhanced multimedia capabilities, improved graphics, expanded memory, and support for advanced productivity applications. It is designed for business users requiring a more powerful portable computing device than traditional handheld PDAs.

Although innovative, it was heavier and less portable than the Series 5 series, making it more of a “sub-notebook PDA” than a pocket device.
