Computer Poker is a close relative of the Dale Electronics Poker-Matic, the first automatic payout poker machine. Computer Poker was designed by a couple of engineers who left Dale Electronics in 1972, for William Si Redd's Bally Dist. Co., and first appeard in 1974. When Si Redd sold his operation to Bally Mfg. in 1975, he kept the rights to this game and continued to manufacture it under the Bally Dist. trade name. It was in production until about 1980, when video games with monitors took over.
