The 486VL3H was designed to offer maximum flexibility for users who were caught in the middle of the bus transition. It is one of the more complex boards in your collection because it often featured "dual-bus" implementations, allowing for both high-speed local bus graphics and the emerging PCI standard. These boards were typically marketed through "white-box" integrators, often sold under the EDOM brand (which functioned largely as a distributor for hardware manufactured by firms like Win Technology or Lucky Star).
Chipset: Typically utilizes OPTi or UMC chipsets that supported the bridge between the 486 processor bus and both VLB and PCI.
