Actual Entry (non editable)
Space War (c) 1977 Vectorbeam. The classic Space War game. Vectorbeam license of Cinematronics' Space Wars. When the game starts, the ships would be in opposite corners, with a sun in the middle. The sun had an artificial gravity that would attract the ships to the center. If the ship would touch the sun, it would be destroyed. There were several options the players could choose at the beginning of the game: - black hole (no sun) - bounce off edges of screen - travel through screen (like Asteroids) If a ship was hit, a few parts could blow off, but the ship could still move and fire. A direct hit would destroy the ship. - TRIVIA - The game was also released in an upright cocktail model. - SOURCES - Machine's picture.
