The Crocodile Hunter - Outback Adventure © 2005 The Pinball Factory.
Crocodile hunter is the first original pinball machine manufactured by "The Pinball Factory", an Austrailian venture, combining both the private engineering capability of owner Wayne Gillard (aka Mr. Pinball Australia), and patents/intellectual property of the defunct Williams Pinball Mfg., purchased by Mr. Gillard in 2005.
The game theme is based around famous wildlife expert Steve Irwin, aka "The Crocodile Hunter. He achieved world-wide fame from the television program The Crocodile Hunter, an internationally broadcast wildlife documentary series co-hosted with his wife Terri Irwin. Together, they also co-owned and operated Australia Zoo, founded by his parents in Beerwah, Queensland. He died in 2006 after his chest was fatally pierced by a stingray barb.
Not much is known about the game but that it is on hold after Steve's death and that currently 2 prototypes exists with unfinished playfield artwork.
