Saint Dragon is the conversion of Jaleco's arcade game. The player takes control of a multi segmented robotic dragon. Its head is the only vulnerable part of its body, the rest being a long metallic tail formed of indestructible rings. Thus, finding the right balance and motion are the key factors that contribute to the player's effectiveness and his ability to use the Dragon's body as a shield. The game counts six long levels and special items can be collected on the way. They can enhance our Dragon's main weapon, speed it up or make it invulnerable for a shot amount of time.

The game also offers four different type of weapons, [P] for standard gun, [L] for ring lasers, [B] for bouncing lasers and [T] for directional laser. Enemies can be huge and varied, like the great robotic flying bull awaiting the player at the end of the first stage.
