Street Fighter - Real Battle on Film © 1995 Capcom Co., Ltd.

The Street Fighter phenomenon has encompassed all types of merchandise: lunchboxes, clothing, comics and, of course, the big budget action movie featuring Jean-Claude van Damme and Kylie Minogue.

Taking the ever-present one-on-one beat-em-up format, SFTM muscles firmly in on Mortal Kombat territory, using digitized sprites of the movie's actors. As well as the standard fighting fare, there's also a movie option where Guile fights through a succession of bouts loosely based on the film's plot, with Minogue's Cammy providing FMV links and choices of route.

There's also a new addition to the family - Sawada, Guile's right-hand man in the movie, who brings a whole host of new moves with him.
