It was originally announced on the September/October 1990 issue of Nintendo Power magazine. It was playable on the Winter International Consumer Electronics Show 1991, but was quietly cancelled.
In 2017, two prototype cartridges for SimCity NES surfaced at a used video game store in Washington state.
SOFT RESET:
At any time during the game, press "A + B + Select + Start" on pad 1 to Soft Reset.
SRAM DATA:
At the title screen, press "A + B + Up + Left" on pad 2 to clear SRAM data.
