It utilizes a button for wrestler actions such as running, hammer throwing or picking up a downed opponent in addition to a buttons used for strikes, submissions and grapples. There is a priority-based system with these three buttons as follows:
Grapple (Circle) beats Strike (X)
Submission (Triangle) beats Grapple (Circle)
Strike (X) beats Submission (Triangle)
