It was a console developed by Sony and Nintendo but was never released to the public and only one prototype copy is known to exist.
About 200 prototypes of this kind were produced between 1991 and 1992. All were destroyed excepts one kept by the Sony director; Olaf Olafsson.
Sony went on to launch the disc-only PlayStation without Nintendo three years later. And Nintendo then released its own Nintendo 64 which still used cartridges.
