Pac & Pal © 1983 Namco.

Pac-Man has a new friend named Miru, but she tries to grab the fruit and take it to the ghost pen. Pac-Man now not only has to collect the stuff lying around the board, but he must also watch Miru to make sure she doesn't take the stuff for her own use.

This game is a proper sequel to Super Pac-Man, maintaining elements such as doors and eating fruit instead of dots. In addition to Miru, Pac-Man can obtain a stun ability; He can enter the ghost pen; There are bonus rounds; and there is music playing throughout the level.

TRIVIA

Pac & Pal was released in July 1983 in Japan.

In the game's title, the 'Pal' refers to Pac-Man's new friend, Miru.

An alternate version of this game features Chomp Chomp, Pac-Man's dog from the 1982-84 animated cartoon series by Hanna-Barbera, in place of Miru, and the game's name is changed accordingly : "Pac-Man & Chomp Chomp". It was tested but performed poorly in the US so it was never mass produced.

Pac & Pal was the first "Pac-Man" game to have music during gameplay.
