TRIVIA

Released in October 1947, 'Humpty Dumpty' is the first pinball machine manufactured with flippers. Harry Mabs, a Gottlieb employee, invented the flipper. David Gottlieb wanted to name this game 'Flipper' but a legal check found a patented countertop game that had a manual bat, 1932's "Flipper [Smith Mfg. Co.]".

6,500 units were produced.
