Advance Variable Geo is a one-on-one fighting game by TGL (Technical Group Laboratory) and only features powerful and cheerful cute girl fighters. The player can pick a fighter from an impressive list of nine: Yuka Takeuchi a waitress and heroine of the game, Chiho Masuda a Ninja-girl, Manami Kusunoki a weird and cute girl with cat-gloves, Jun Kubota, Satomi Yajima, Ayako Yuki, Elirin, Kaori Yanase and Reimi Jahana. Like many traditional fighting games, Advance Variable Geo offers two single play modes : 'Normal' where the player can train against any fighter and 'Story mode' where only Yuka is playable - without forgetting the obligatory two-player versus mode. The story of the game is quite unusual - waitresses from different restaurants fight in large tournaments using powerful super-attacks and special fighting techniques. Controls are similar to the ones found in ultra-popular games such as Capcom's excellent Street Fighter : Low/Hi kick, Low/Hi punch and each fighter has her own set of special moves. It is strongly recommended to play Advance Variable Geo with a 6-Buttons controller.
