Wild Trax is a cute racing game by Argonaut and published by Nintendo, and is one of the few games ever produced with the Super FX enhancement chip. The player is able to race using one of the three cute and eyed cars that are available within the game - a yellow coupe, a big 4WD and a sports car. As a side note, a motorbike can also be unlocked later in the game, and a big truck is available as well, but only in special stages. Obviously, each vehicle offers a different balance of strengths and weaknesses, and it is up to the player to decide which vehicle best fits his style of driving. The goal of the game is rather simple and expected - to race through different tracks within a time limit. Many other challenges and modes are available though, such as the Stunt race where players can hit and damage other cars while collecting yellow stars, or the two-player Battle-Trax mode, as well as a Test Run. Finally, special items are scattered around each track and give players additional boosts, such as the blue-turbo and red-repair power pills.
