Shin Nihon Pro Wrestling: Toukon Retsuden 3 features 39 wrestlers from New Japan Pro Wrestling and other promotions like Michinoku Pro. It includes single and tag matches, the three player tournament, four player battle royal and ten man team tournament which is a 5 Vs. 5 elimination match. By using this general match types with the weight class choices, players can play special exhibition matches, defend titles or take part in the tournaments and leagues. You can also try to overcome all opponents in the Burning Spirits Challenge.
Shin Nihon Pro Wrestling: Toukon Retsuden 3 also includes an Edit Mode. The player is able to create 13 original wrestlers.
