DESCRIPTION

[CONSOLE] NEC PC-Engine Game

Psycho Chaser © 1990 Naxat Soft.

Psycho Chaser is an unusual vertical shooter by Naxat Soft. The player takes control of a walking humanoid-cyborg, somehow inspired by our beloved Robocop. Our hero is armed with an arsenal of weapons which can be switched over at anytime during the game. Four different weapons are available: Fire Balls, Multiway, Side Buster and Homing Thunder. Special icons can be collected during the game to either vary our hero's walking speed, add secondary missiles or a special, and rare, power-up boosting our weapons to the max for a short time. At the end of each area, our cyborg will be rewarded with Psycho Energy Points. Those can be used to power-up (up to 4 times) any of the available weapons. The game counts six intense stages filled up with all kind of enemies, including middle-bosses.
