You will not have seen graphics like it: real-time 3-D graphics depicting paper-thin 2-dimensional characters!

Parappa the Rapper features the simple-minded and passionate Parappa, a canine rapper who longs for the affections of Sunny Funny.

Parappa, who can't seem to get enough of Sunny (and rapping) travels through his peaceful hometown of Rodneytown, continually getting himself into trouble as he bumps into various rival characters who also dare to win Sunny's heart. In a valiant effort to become a grown man and impress his one love, Sunny, Parappa's many adventures take him to such places as the karate dojou, flea market and various other places.

You are Parappa, rapping your way through six levels of the game, culminating in your performance at a live concert to a packed auditorium.

Following a 'Simon Says' style gameplay, you press the game controller buttons in time with Parappa's rapping, or improvise your own rhythms. On each of the six levels, before you can rap free-style, you must first get a rap lesson - aiming for a 'cool' score on the Rapometer. Watch out for that 'awful' score - on every level there is a different teacher with their own rapping style.
